Getting ready for your MRI
Most scans need little or no special preparation.
Follow any instructions from your doctor about eating, drinking, or medicines.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal zippers, snaps, or buttons. You may change into a gown.

During the scan
A team member will go over a short safety form with you first. Then you'll lie on a padded table that slides into the scanner.
